Clara Lauziere - General Manager

     Ms. Lauziere was brought in on the Northeast Superior Forest Community team in October of 2007, after acting as project manager for the initiative in the preceding months.  She brings to the position more than 8 years experience in project management and economic development and an education strongly focused on public administration and public policy at the undergrad and post graduate levels. 
     As a lifelong Northern Ontario resident, committed to raising her family in the north, she is looking forward to actively working towards a revitalized and rejuvenated forest sector. 
 
 
Giselle Noel - Project Development Officer

     Giselle was born and raised in Chapleau and went away to school to receive a diploma in Tourism from Cambrian College. She started work for the NSFC in 2008 and is responsible for working with investors to develop projects, meeting with governments to discuss polices, preparing business plans and feasibility studies with or without assistance from consultants. Giselle also manages activities of the consultants to meet the technical committees guidelines and also provides assistance to the general manager. Giselle is an active member of the community, sitting on the CERC Committee and the NTFP Technical Committee.
      Before starting her career with the North East Superior Forest Community, Giselle worked as the Tourism and Economic Intern for the Township of Chapleau, where she worked on advertising and marketing the community. 
      Giselle is married with 2 children aged 2 and 7 and spends as much time as she can with her family and friends.

Lisi Crichton - Special Projects Coordinator

     Lisi recently returned to Chapleau, her hometown after becoming an Ontario Certified Teacher at Nipissing University. She previously worked at the NSFC from July 2008 to August 2009. She has returned and is responsible for keeping the NSFC website up to date with the newest and best information on bio fuels and non-timber forest product information. The website is to be a ’one stop shop’ for information on renewable energy and economic development for the towns in the Northeast Superior Forest Community area. Lisi also works on various projects dealing with First Nation Relationship Building, Caribou Educational Tool Development and Regional Blueberry Business Plan Development.
          

Lina Card - Administrative Assistant

     Lina has over 20 years’ experience in clerical and bookkeeping.  She joined Northeast Superior Forest Community in April  2008 and is responsible for bookkeeping, preparing and receiving correspondence, assembly of Board packages, and provides assistance to the NSFC team.
     Prior to joining NSFC, Lina worked for a trucking company as Office Manager for 8 years and also worked for many years at the Chapleau District Roman Catholic Separate School Board as Office Manager/Bookkeeper.
    Lina is married with 2 children and spends as much time as she can with her family and friends.
  
Jayme Crittenden - Marketing and Communications Coordinator

     Jayme began with the organization in December of 2009. Jayme has an undergraduate honours degree in English from the University of Guelph, and prior to joining the NSFC she spent 2 years at a Conservation Authority in Southern Ontario as a member of the Communications and Marketing team.  
     In her spare time Jayme enjoys camping, fishing, and hiking, and can’t wait to explore Chapleau and the surrounding communities.
     Jayme is responsible for creating and implementing a marketing and communications strategy for the NSFC, for all advertising and the development of promotional materials, coordination of the NSFC’s quarterly newsletter, and communicating the organizations initiatives and successes to the public.

Becky Hodgson - Education Coordinator

     Becky is the newest member to the NSFC team, joining the organization in July of 2010. In terms of formal education, Becky possesses a Forest Technician diploma from Sir Sandford Fleming College, as well as Bachelor degrees in Environmental Studies (with a major in Forest Conservation) and Education from Lakehead University in Thunder Bay. Becky’s primary interest is in the area of Environmental Education, and she brings much experience in this area to her position.
     Becky’s main project with the NSFC is the development of an education program that will provide students in the region with the knowledge to develop a closer connection with our forests. As First Nations peoples traditionally have a strong connection with forest, the program will include a strong focus on First Nations youth engagement.
     In her spare time, Becky spends most every waking minute outdoors with her husband. From working on her home and property to gardening and biking, outdoors is where you can find her.
