Vision and Mission
The NSFC region covers an area of approximately 6 million hectares, and provides a truly dynamic Forest Community network, bringing to the table a significant amount of dedication and resources in the area of building new economic wealth in the forestry sector due to innovative and aggressive research strategies.
Vision:
The Northeast Superior Forest Community will build sustainable forest communities by increasing capacity for maximizing resource potential in order to ensure economic prosperity and stability based on the responsible and sustainable use of the broad spectrum of forest values and resources in a manner that will bring support greater social and economic equity between the respective citizens of municipalities and First Nations.
Mission:
The Northeast Superior Forest Community’s mission is to encourage innovation in forest-based projects that builds regional partnerships and entrepreneurship in value-added areas including wood products, energy, and non-timber forest products by building capacity First Nation partnerships through education, advocacy and public policy.
